Dr. Karen McReynolds, our Chief of Staff, received her Bachelor of Business Administration with an Accounting major from Baylor University in 1984. She practiced as a CPA for six years before deciding to pursue her dream to be a veterinarian. Dr. McReynolds received her DVM degree from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She founded AM/PM Animal Hospital, Austin’s first 24-hour emergency and full-service, routine care veterinary hospital combination in 1995. After developing and maintaining a very successful practice, Dr. McReynolds sold AM/PM Animal Hospital in 2002 and continued to practice in veterinary clinics and emergency hospitals throughout Texas. She also spent two years extensively studying dog behavior and related behavior modification treatments.

Dr. McReynolds created Rosedale Veterinary Clinic to meet her vision of a small animal veterinary practice that provides the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for patients and their owners in a welcoming, informative, and supportive state-of-the-art facility. Her vast experience and knowledge in animal emergency and routine care guarantees her patients and their owners the very best care and treatment whether routine or acute.

Dr. McReynolds hobbies include snow skiing, horseback riding, reading, and spending quality time with her two dogs, Ellie and Riley, and her three cats, Travis, Abe, and Kanyon.
